Petrolatum Moulding Paste
A hand-mouldable petrolatum paste that fills bolts, flanges and valves to a smooth profile before wrapping with petrolatum tape.
What is the Petrolatum Moulding Paste?
YTM Makina Petrolatum Moulding Paste is composed of refined mineral oil, hydrocarbon thickeners and enhanced adhesive components. It is moulded by hand to fill pinholes, voids and irregular shapes, creating a smooth profile so that petrolatum tape can be wrapped without air pockets.
Used for the corrosion protection of buried and submerged pipes, fittings, flanges and valves up to 50 °C, it complies with EN 12068 Class A30 when used with YTM Petrolatum Anti-Corrosion Tape. The airtight packaging ensures optimal conservation.

How to apply
- CleanWire-brush off rust, dirt and weld spatter; degrease with white spirit.
- ApplyApply the paste with a trowel over the surface.
- MouldMould by hand to a compact, uniform shape covering imperfections.
- WrapWrap with YTM Petrolatum Anti-Corrosion Tape.

Why use a moulding paste before taping?
