Check Valves
Non-slam check valves are lift-type non-return valves used to prevent backflow of fluids and eliminate the water hammer effect, reducing pressure swings, vibrations, and damage. They find application in a wide range of industries, including chemical processing, steam condensate systems, power generation, textile, water treatment, and boilers. These valves are used in process lines, hot and cold water systems, heating systems, and oil lines.
Main Features
- Available as axial check or dual plate in various body configurations, materials of construction, and pressure ratings
- Provide quick dynamic response reducing reverse velocity by spring force action
- Valve trims designed to minimize pressure loss and the effect of water hammer
- Retainerless construction with no welded or bolted external parts, eliminating the potential risk of fugitive emissions to the atmosphere
- Standard design is metal-seated with a hard-faced seat, while dual plate valves are also available with a soft-seated option
- Metal-to-metal design inherently fire-safe
